W Wielkiej Sali zasta³em Every’ego i paru innych ¶lizgonów. Avery na mój widok zerwa³ siê z krzes³a.
- Panie, gdzie by³e¶? –zapyta³.
- Cicho! Chcesz, ¿eby ten kocha¶ szlam ciê us³ysza³?! –Ch³opak zerkn±³ na stó³ nauczycielski.- Usi±d¼, bo stary dropsiarz przyjdzie sprawdziæ co siê dzieje.
-Aaa... Tak panie –szepn±³ z zawstydzon± min± i usiad³.
Po chwili jedzenia Avery siê odezwa³:
- A wiêc, Panie, móg³bym zapytaæ gdzie by³e¶, gdy Ciê nie by³o?
-Wype³nia³em obowi±zki prefekta –powiedzia³em szorstko i wsta³em od sto³u, bo siê ju¿ najad³em.
Przez chwilê nie wiedzia³em dok±d pój¶æ. Na lekcjê by³o za wcze¶nie, w bibliotece kto¶ ju¿ pewnie by³.
Naglê kto¶ delikatnie dotkn±³ mojego ramienia. Odwróci³em siê. Przede mn± sta³a Lia.
- C-cze¶æ... mi³o Ciê widzieæ -powiedzia³a nie¶mia³o.
- Czego ode mnie... –urwa³em.
Dopiero teraz zauwa¿y³em, ¿e wygl±da jako¶ inaczej. Oczy i usta mia³a pomalowane, a w³osy spiête spink± w kszta³cie motyla.
- Eee... –po raz pierwszy nie wiedzia³em co powiedzieæ. ¦miaæ siê z jej wygl±du? Nie, przecie¿ mo¿e mi siê przydaæ do odnalezienia czarki- £adnie wygl±dasz –nie wierzê, ¿e to powiedzia³em.
-Och... Dziêki! –powiedzia³a zarumieniona.- Wiesz, chcia³a bym Ciê o co¶ zapytaæ...
- O co? –nie chcia³o mi siê z ni± gadaæ.
- Bo tak dobrze nam siê rozmawia³o podczas szlabanu...
- O co ci chodzi? –spyta³em, pewien odpowiedzi.
- Chcê siê z tob± umówiæ...
- Nie –powiedzia³em ch³odno.
- Nie –powtórzy³a- Nie...? To znaczy, ¿e nie chcesz? –w jej oczach zobaczy³em ³zy.

Dziewczyna popatrzy³a na mnie jeszcze raz, a potem wybieg³a z sali. Dumbleore poderwa³ siê z krzes³a i podszed³ do mnie.
- Witaj Tom –rzek³.- Co siê sta³o pannie Smith?
- Zapyta³a mnie, czy pójdê z ni± na randkê...
- A ty siê nie zgodzi³e¶. Tom czy mogliby¶my porozmawiaæ? –zapyta³ i nie czekaj±c na odpowied¼ zaci±gn±³ mnie do schowka na miot³y.
- To o czym chcia³ pan rozmawiaæ?

Co?! Dumbledore mówi±cy o „mi³o¶ci”?! Ju¿ gorzej byæ nie morze.

Horkruksy, a teraz jeszcze to! Jakbym nie mia³ co robiæ.

- Eee... –to chyba ulubione „s³owo” puchonów.- Tak, jest w dormitorium.
- Przeka¿ jej, ¿e Tom Marvolo Riddle chce siê z ni± zobaczyæ. Bêdê czeka³ w Sali Wej¶cowej. Jestem prefektem naczelnym –doda³em widz±c jej minê.
Dziewczyna powoli odesz³a. W Sali Wej¶ciowej czeka³em 10 minut. Lia przybieg³a i popatrzy³a siê na mnie; oczy mia³a nieco podkr±¿one.
- C-czego chcesz?!
- Umówiæ siê z tob± –wiedzia³em, ¿e to jedyne wyj¶cie.
Dziewczyna wybuch³a ¶miechem.
